Shelley

Strollers

Introduction

Shelley Strollers was formed in 1997 by a group of 10 people to organise walks for everyone young and old, even well behaved dogs.

All our walks take place in the locality. Sometimes around Shelley itself, at other times in the glorious Pennine Hills surrounding us or in the nearby Peak District National Park.

We currently have a membership of around 50 people and can arrange transport for those members unable to drive to our walks further afield.

No walk is longer than 5 miles lasting between 2 to 4 hours.

Walkers are reminded that with our countryside there are hills to climb although the spectacular views are the reward.

Our aim is to enjoy a few hours of good company whilst enjoying a little exercise.

The walks take place every Tuesday. There are currently no Sunday or Wednesday evening walks at present

Walks commence at 11.00 am.

Please carry a waterproof jacket, stout footwear is also advisable.
Accompanied children and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Please note that you walk at all times at your own risk, although the Group does have public liability insurance. Please bring a drink and refreshments appropriate to the length of the walk, a suitable break will be provided
